Comparative data

Projected population changes:

The main population growth is expected on the African continent. Even though the share of population living in a BRICS+ country is expected to slightly decrease, BRICS+ still hosts around 40% of the world's population.

Projected GDP changes:

Today, the G7 countries make up the vast majority of the world's economy. However, this is expected to change dramatically over the next decades. With a massive projected GDP growth in India, BRICS+ will soon equalise with G7 and even surpass its economic strength in 2060. Furthermore, significant growth is also expected in other yet developing economies. With a potential further expansion of BRICS+, pressure on the institutions of the world economy, dominated by G7, will increase further.
